Clearing Skies For Sunday

Clearing Skies For Sunday

After some spotty storms Saturday evening, a cold front will bring slightly cooler air and clearing skies for Sunday.
Midnight Update: The line of showers ahead of the weak cold front pushing south through Kentucky has pushed into southern Kentucky. The rain will fully push into Tennessee and Virginia in the next few hours. Slightly cooler and more comfortable air will start to push into Kentucky behind the front overnight.

After a high of 85° in Lexington Saturday afternoon, temperatures have now cooled into the low 70s across the region.

A cold front is bringing scattered showers and storms to the region this evening. While the storms are expected to stay below severe levels, heavy rain and deadly lightning will be possible. Due to the scattered nature of the storms, some areas will stay completely dry. The storms will move out of central Kentucky by midnight.

By Sunday morning, everyone will be dry with temperatures in the low 60s as skies continue to clear.

Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny and slightly cooler. Afternoon highs will only be near 80°.

On Monday, we will only make it into the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds.

More humidity and rain return by the middle of the week.
