UPDATE: The Severe Thunderstorm Watch for central Kentucky has been canceled for the night.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for central Kentucky through 4 a.m. Sunday morning, including Lexington.

A line of strong storms is crossing the Ohio River from Indiana into Kentucky.

The line of storms is capable of producing damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning.

Head indoors as soon as you hear thunder and stay indoors until 30 minutes after the last time you hear thunder. When inside, stay away from pipes and electronics plugged into the wall.
