Temperatures will continue to hover near 80° this afternoon as high pressure continues to prevent many clouds from forming. We'll remain a bit cooler than average tonight, with lows plummeting to 53° before dawn on Thursday morning. A warming trend will take us to 84° on Thursday, and then the upper 80s for the remainder of the seven-day forecast. Central Kentucky will stay dry on Thursday and Friday while spotty showers and a stray thunderstorm will be possible over the mountains of far southeastern Kentucky. Isolated thunderstorms will become more likely across the rest of the area each afternoon, from Saturday into Tuesday, but coverage will be limited on any given day.
