A Dense Fog Advisory will expire at midmorning across southern and southeastern Kentucky as visibilities improve.  Be aware that there could be a little bit of black ice on some surfaces in south-central Kentucky, where some of the freezing fog occurred.  Today will be a beautiful day with sunshine giving way to increasing clouds in the afternoon.  Temperatures will soar into the middle 50s this afternoon.  Rain will arrive overnight tonight, spreading into the area from southwest to northeast, and Wednesday will be a soaking (and still mild) day, with many areas receiving 1" of rain or more.  Much colder air will arrive on Thursday, causing the leftover rain showers to mix with and eventually change to snow showers.  A light accumulation of snow - generally just a fraction of an inch - could accumulate late on Thursday in some places.  A pair of weak disturbances will spark additional, scattered flurries on Friday and Saturday, primarily in eastern Kentucky, but it will remain very cold across the entire area.  Sunday will be partly sunny and cold.  The next disturbance will encounter slightly milder air on Monday of next week.  Light rain showers will be likely, although some frozen precipitation may also occur.
