Arctic Air Returns Tonight With Light Wintry Mix

As our next arctic cold front pushes through Kentucky tonight, we could see some light rain and snow.
Midnight Update: Winds are still out of the southwest around 15mph tonight, helping to keep our temperatures on the high side. Most of our cities are in the upper 40s... for now.

The arctic air is still well to our north, but is pushing south through Illinois and Indiana. The cold air will start to push in before the morning commute.

We are seeing more clouds push in, but as of midnight, we are still dry. A few spotty and light rain and snow showers will still be possible before everyone heads to work and school.

Forecast:
Light rain showers will be possible tonight ahead of our next blast of cold air. As the arctic air moves in, some of that rain could turn into some light snow before sunrise Monday. Most areas will not see any accumulation of snow with little to no impact on traffic expected. Temperatures will drop rapidly and will be in the teens by the Monday morning commute.

We will continue to get colder through the day Monday. By the end of the afternoon, we will drop just below the teens. Some sunshine will be possible in the afternoon after a mostly cloudy start to the day.

By Tuesday morning, temperatures will fall below zero and only rebound into the upper single digits by the afternoon.

Expect more sunshine in the middle part of the week as the dangerous cold continues.
