Despite a cool start to the day, temperatures will rise into the lower 80s this afternoon with more sunshine than clouds. Most areas will stay dry, thanks to high pressure crossing the Ohio Valley. An isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible over each of the next few days in far southern and southeastern Kentucky, but central Kentucky should stay dry through at least Saturday night. Highs will remain in the lower to middle 80s through Monday. While an isolated thunderstorm will be possible in central Kentucky as early as Sunday, the better chance for thunderstorms will occur on Monday and Tuesday as a larger storm system crosses Kentucky. The final showers tied to that disturbance will exit on Wednesday, so the entire area will return to dry weather on Thursday of next week.
