A Quieter, Cooler Day Before Storms Return

A Quieter, Cooler Day Before Storms Return

After yesterday's severe weather, today will be much quieter and cooler. Skies will be partly sunny. Isolated storms return tonight.
Most of today will be dry and cool, with temperatures recovering from the upper 30s in the Bluegrass Region, into the middle 60s this afternoon under partly sunny skies.  A slow-moving front will lift north into Kentucky from the south, producing a few isolated showers and thunderstorms tonight.  It will be not as cold tonight, with lows closer to average, in the upper 40s.  Scattered, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday, especially across the northern two-thirds of Kentucky.  Highs will be in the lower 70s.  The front will continue to waver north and south through the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys through the entire seven-day forecast, so showers and thunderstorms will be possible each day.  After a cool Sunday with highs in the middle 60s, a warming trend will take us into the lower 80s for Wednesday and Thursday.
