Tonight partly cloudy skies to clear at times will allow for cold temperatures at the surface, dropping temperatures to 21 degrees through the overnight. Winds will stay out of the northwest at 5-10 mph which will continue to escort in cold northern air through the evening. Southeasterly winds will allow for slightly warmer air tomorrow with afternoon highs reaching 42 degrees. In addition, expect mostly cloudy skies to remain with rain back in the Bluegrass through the afternoon. Our next frontal system will move in Monday which will offer the rain at first, then a rain/sleet mixture through the evening. A quarter of an inch expected through Monday overnight with slick roadways possible. Tuesday offers much of the same; still milder temps in the 40s, but cloudy with rain through the day changing to a wintry mix for the Bluegrass by Tuesday night.
