A Hot Stretch Through Midweek

A Hot Stretch Through Midweek

Heat will intensify across Kentucky through the next three days. Thunderstorms will be generally limited to southeastern Kentucky.
The next three days will be hot with highs at or just barely above 90° through midweek.  Skies will be bright, and central Kentucky will stay dry.  A very isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible over southeastern Kentucky's mountains, today and Wednesday.  Thursday will also be hot with highs near 90°, but a weakening cold front may spark a few thunderstorms in central Kentucky, late on Thursday and again on Friday.  Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 80s on Friday and Saturday, and we'll be near 90° again on Sunday and Monday.  Thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon or evening this weekend and into early next week, triggered by the afternoon heat.
