Lots of small, fair-weather cumulus clouds will mix with sunshine this afternoon, and temperatures will peak near 67 degrees. This is about six degrees below average for early to mid-May. Tonight will be chilly with lows near 44. Only some very patchy fog may form near some of the area lakes and rivers. Friday will also be very bright and dry with highs in the lower 70s as high pressure drifts to our east. Saturday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the middle to upper 70s, and a stray thunderstorm or two in southern Kentucky. From Mother's Day into the middle of next week, scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur as a couple of disturbances cross the region.
