The UK football program will be getting a new, privately funded facility in the near future.
The $45 million project will include a new two-story building, two practice fields and an adjoining drill area.
The building will house offices, locker space, meeting areas, training areas, weight room, hydrotherapy center and lounging spaces.
No word yet on a start date or projected completion date.
The UK board of trustees still has to approve the project on Friday.
Construction will coincide with the $110 million renovation of Commonwealth Stadium next to the existing Nutter Fieldhouse.
The Nutter Training Facility will be re-purposed for other UK athletic teams.
