Social media was in part to thank for the uptick in recent UK football recruiting according to Neal Brown last night on ABC 36.

But what about it's impact on basketball recruiting?

Especially at Kentucky, a group of one-and-doners often has to build relationships via Twitter and Facebook...Instagram and Snapchat, and probably several others bu the time I'm done typing the story.

It's all part of the "at your fingertips" capability to connect with future teammates and hopefully lifelong brothers.

An idea and concept a few years ago, guys like Patrick Patterson and even John Wall didn't think about until the tail end of their UK careers.

Now it's starting before getting to Joe Craft...and that's a good thing.

Hear from the two aforementioned former Cats on the impact of social media in recruiting in the attached video.
