Injuries are inevitable in football.

Every team has to deal with injury issues every season, to some degree, at some point.

For the Kentucky Wildcats, the injury bug struck early this year.  And it's stayed.

Joker Phillips has been forced to run out freshmen talent.  Raw.  Inexperienced.

The youth, with great potential, have been forced to learn quickly...or fail.

Sophomore starting QB Max Smith went down with an ankle injury for what is expected to be the remainder of the season.  Freshman Patrick Towles stepped in against Mississippi State and is now listed wee-to-week after suffering a high ankle sprain.

For more on the Cats injury woes, including an update on Patrick Towles, check out the video.
