The Cats are playing better.

John Calipari saying on today's SEC teleconference that he's seen more out of guys like Alex Poythress, but still needs to get more exertion out of the team in general.

But the defense is getting better.

The Cats held Eastern Michigan to just 38 points last Wednesday night at Rupp Arena.

The lowest point total a UK team has allowed since November 24th, 2007 against Texas Southern...when Kentucky held the Tigers to just 35 points.

The Eagles also shot just 24.2 percent against the Cats.  The best defensive effort by UK since holding Central Arkansas to just 20 percent back on November 6th, 2007.

So the 'd' is improving.

Check out the video to hear from Cal and Ryan Harrow on the defense.
