Rick Pitino would not rule out Louisville big man Gorgiu Dieng from playing against Kentucky Saturday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville head coach Rick Pitino told CBSSports.com that his big man, Gorgiu Dieng, would participate in full-contact practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a broken wrist on November 23. Pitino said a decision on whether or not Dieng will play against Kentucky Saturday would be based on how Dieng performs in practice.
As for Pitino's thoughts on UK, "Somebody came to me and said, 'They got three players projected to go in the top ten.' I said, 'This is not professional basketball this is college basketball.' I said, 'We're not worried about how they'll play for the Wizards, we're worried about how they play against Louisville.' And he said, 'No, I was just pointing it out that they got' ... I said, 'That's irrelevant in terms of styles for Louisville.'"
