Stefanie Davis joined the ABC 36 Storm Team as a Freelance Meteorologist in April 2011. When she is not filling in on-air, she is busy teaching meteorology and earth science classes at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY. Stefanie, her husband, and daughter reside in Lexington, KY.
Stefanie has had a passion for weather since childhood. It was a the “Super Snowstorm” in March of 1993 that hit her home town of Cincinnati, OH that made her interested in weather. Only a third grader at the time, the snow came up to her waist and she simply wondered…how is this much snow created in one day?
From that point on, changing weather always caught her eye and she grew to especially love storm season in the spring. Her storm chasing interest was carried out when she went to graduate school at Mississippi State University. Stefanie graduated from MSU with a M.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences.
Stefanie comes to the Bluegrass from WLFI in Lafayette, IN where she was a morning Meteorologist. Stefanie loves being a Kentuckian and especially loves to forecast Kentucky’s changing weather each season.
