Paris joined the ABC 36 team in October 2013 as a Morning Reporter. You can catch his reports most mornings on Good Morning Kentucky.

Paris has been training for a career in broadcasting since he became a journalist in the second grade. He reported and anchored for KidWitness News, a monthly television news show at Pierce Elementary School in his hometown of Birmingham, Michigan.

Paris graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. He reported and anchored for Columbia’s student TV network, Frequency Television. In 2010, Paris was part of a core team that designed and created an innovative online television news network in Chicago, WCHI News, a news source for young adults, by young adults. He served as Senior Reporter, covering a wide range of stories including the 2011 blizzard, the 2012 NATO conference and protests, and the 2012 presidential election from Barack Obama’s hometown.

In 2012, Paris joined the Captured News team. Often the first journalist on scene, he covered breaking news stories throughout Chicago for local and national television, radio, newspapers and other media outlets. Some of his stories gained national attention, including a tragic 13-victim shooting in a Chicago park and an emergency landing of an airplane on Lake Shore Drive.

Driven by a challenge, and persistently working towards new goals, Paris always remembers to enjoy the journey. Part of his journey includes competitive swimming, cycling and staying healthy. Paris also enjoys cooking and finding new gluten-free recipes, a must for his diagnosis of Celiac Disease.

Paris believes that every person has a story to tell and loves to hear from viewers for tips or just for a quick hello! Send him an email at plewbel@WTVQ.com, Tweet him on Twitter @plewbel, or send him a message on Facebook at www.facebook.com/parislewbelTV.
