Melanie Kendall joined the ABC 36 team as a reporter in September 2013.
Originally from Northern Virginia, Melanie headed North for college and graduated from Syracuse University with a double major in broadcast journalism and political science. She also spent a semester living in Madrid, Spain.
While in college Melanie was a reporter for the campus news station and a public affairs television show. She had internships with the Smithsonian's National Zoo and the FOX station in Washington, D.C.
After four years in Central New York and 200 inches of snow the winter of her senior year, Melanie decided it was time to move south. She spent the next two years as the morning reporter at WFXL FOX 31 in Southwest Georgia.
Trading her early morning alarm clock, Melanie is thrilled to be in the Bluegrass! In her free time you’ll find her outside running, traveling and trying out local restaurants.
