Christine Winter joined the ABC 36 team as an Anchor/ Reporter in May 2011. She now co-anchors ABC 36 News at 5:00, 6:00, and 11. The native Texan comes to the Bluegrass from Waco, where she worked as an Anchor/ Reporter at KCEN-HD.

Christine's path into television news began during her years at Pine Manor College in Boston. As a senior, she completed American University's Washington Semester Program in Journalism in D.C. and interned for Cox Broadcasting’s Washington Bureau.

After college, Christine spent almost 4 years living in New York City where she studied acting and voice-over technique.

Her first TV news job took her to Southern West Virginia. She fell in love with Kentucky during road trips while working as an Anchor/ Reporter at WVNS-TV in Beckley.

When Christine isn’t covering the latest Central Kentucky news, you’ll find her catching up with her adorable nephews and spending time with her “little girl,” a yellow labrador retriever called Daisy.
