One of the top pitching prospects in the class of 2013, Woodford County's Clinton Hollon, has committed to Kentucky.
VERSAILLES, Ky. - Woodford County junior pitcher Clinton Hollon is one of the nation's top prospects for the 2013 class, and he's committed to Kentucky.
Hollon has wowed Major League Baseball scouts with a fast ball that's been clocked as high as 97 mph. He has a formidable change up, too.
And Hollon has a pretty good guy to learn from - former big league pitcher and Woodford County head coach Jeff Parrett.
Hollon helped pitch the Yellow Jackets into the 41st district championship game with a win over Western Hills Tuesday night, which also earned the team a spot in next week's 11th region tournament.
On Wednesday night, Woodford County beat Franklin County 3-1 to win the district title.
