Kentucky defensive coordinator Rick Minter says having so much inexperience at linebacker is showing up on game day.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior Avery Williamson is Kentucky's only linebacker who had any significant playing time last season, and Kentucky defensive coordinator Rick Minter says that's evident after two games this season.

Minter says the lack of experience at linebacker is affecting the entire defense. The veteran defensive lineman aren't always getting the correct calls or any calls from the backers, Minter says.

Minter calls it a generation gap on defense, and he's responded by simplifying things for the younger players.
