NASHVILLE, Tn. - The SEC regular season champion Kentucky women's basketball team will tip off its conference tourney Friday as the top seed against the Florida Gators.
Florida beat Auburn 70-60 Thursday in the SEC tourney's opening game in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
UK and Florida will meet for the third time this season Friday at 1 PM ET. In the previous two meetings, Kentucky won by just three in Gainesville, 59-56. The last time the two played was in Memorial Coliseum on January 22. The Cats took that one by five, 57-52. So, these Gators are definitely a dangerous first opponent for Kentucky.
