Kentucky commit Patrick Towles of Highlands won the Paul Hornung Award for the state's top high school player.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Highlands quarterback and Kentucky commit Patrick Towles was named the 2011 recipient of the Paul Hornung Award, which honors the state's top high school player, by the Louisville Quarterback Club on Tuesday.
Towles helped lead Highlands to its fifth consecutive state championship this season and finished his career at 37 and 1 as a starter. Towles threw for 3,820 yards with 42 touchdowns to just one interception this year. Towles also ran for 15 touchdowns.
