UK Softball On Hosting NCAA Regional

For the fifth straight season, the UK softball team will be playing in a NCAA regional.

For the first time...the program will be hosting one.

The Cats received the 12 seed of 16 ranked national host sites Sunday night.

Kentucky set to take on Marshall at 7:30 Friday night at newly finished and heavily used John Cropp Stadium.

Notre Dame and Virginia Tech start the action at 5.  All games will be broadcast on ESPN3.com.

Double-elimination format...with 3 games played on Saturday...then either one or two games on Sunday as needed.

Head coach Rachel Lawson and company are excited to be staying put for the time being.
