Team Records and Series Notes

  • Kentucky falls to 21-3, 10-1 SEC, while LSU improves to 15-8, 5-5 SEC.

·         Kentucky’s 21-3 start ties its best start in program history. Kentucky also started 21-3 in 1982-83.

·         The Kentucky loss snaps:

·         A school-record 13-game SEC winning streak dating back to last season.

·         A school-record six-game SEC road winning streak dating back to last season.

·         Its 10-game winning streak.

·         A three-game winning streak over LSU.

  • Kentucky is 10-29 against LSU all-time, and 3-12 when the game is played in Baton Rouge.
    • UK head coach Matthew Mitchell is 3-6 against the Lady Tigers.

    • Mathies did not record a steal for the first time since March 19, 2011 against Hampton, a 23-game streak.
    • Has scored 10 or more points in 18 of the 23 games she’s played this season.
  • Sophomore forward Samarie Walker scored eight points and grabbed a team-high tying six rebounds.
    • Walker has six or more rebounds in 11 of her 14 games played this season.
  • Senior guard Keyla Snowden scored 11 points, including knocking down three 3-pointers.
  • Sophomore guard Kastine Evans hit a 3-pointer for the seventh straight game.
