Kentucky's pair of freshmen running backs have shown they can contribute this season.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky's backfield has become crowded this fall camp with the emergence of freshmen Dyshawn Mobley and Justin Taylor.

Head coach Joker Phillips said on Monday that based on what he's seen, both freshmen will play this season.

Offensive coordinator Randy Sanders said while UK has experienced backs like Raymond Sanders, CoShik Williams and Jonathan George, the two freshmen are more physical runners.

Mobley set Tennessee's single-season rushing record last year as a senior with over 3,000 yards and 48 touchdowns.

Taylor was committed to Alabama until suffering a knee injury last September, which prompted the Crimson Tide to ask Taylor to delay his enrollment to next spring.

Taylor decided to instead come to Kentucky and has fully rehabbed from the knee injury.
