The Kentucky football recruiting train just keeps chugging along.
This time, Lafayette High School's own sophomore-to-be Landon Young becomes the newest Cat commit.
Young stands 6'7", about 250 and played in 10 games last season for the Generals...totaling just 17 tackles.
But Stoops and company like him for obvious reasons on the defensive side of the ball and could see him moving to offense (Young will start both ways next season at Lafayette).
It's all part of the new recruiting pitch to get a better, higher caliber of athlete to Lexington...and the one thing you can't teach, is size.
Offensive coordinator Neal Brown says what's happening now at Kentucky is a unique situation created by all the dominoes falling in place at once.
3-star Florida wide receiver Tyre Brady committed to the Cats today as well.
Brady picked UK over Florida, FSU and Mississippi State to name a few.
