Kentucky basketball has only one triple-double in its history, but Anthony Davis has come close several times this season.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The way Kentucky's Anthony Davis scores, rebounds and blocks shots, a triple-double seems inevitable for the freshman. Chris Mills recorded the only triple-double in UK basketball history. Davis has flirted with becoming the second several times this season.
Davis says his father has been bringing up the near misses at achieving the illustrious stat line. Three times this season, including Tuesday night's 86-63 win over Arkansas, Davis has come within three or fewer blocks of reaching a triple-double. Five times he's been within four blocks or less.
Davis has yet to record double-digit blocks in a game this season, however. He's had eight blocks once and seven blocks on three occasions.
