Former Kentucky Wildcats Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy both earned praise from their new NFL coaches recently.
Former Wildcat Danny Trevathan has been practicing with the Denver Broncos first team, while fellow former Cat Winston Guy has prompted Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll to say Guy will "be a part of what we're doing."
According to the Denver Post
, Broncos head coach John Fox said following minicamp practice Tuesday, "(Trevathan) has attacked it really well as far as in the meeting rooms, in his playbook. This game is so mental, and for a young guy, he's caught on pretty quickly."
Trevathan, Denver's sixth-round pick, could see some playing time immediately as regular starter D.J. Williams serves a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Winston Guy, who Seattle selected in the sixth round, was singled out by Carroll after Tuesday's practice, according to the Seattle Times
"I really like this player," Carroll said of Guy. "I think he brings more than we had hoped at this early time. His speed is very good, instincts are excellent, he's got a lot to learn to not make the boneheaded mistakes and things, but he's going to play for us and be a part of what we're doing."
