The Transylvania men's basketball team topped Earlham 83-63 Wednesday night in the Pioneers' home opener.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania won its home opener over Earlham Wednesday night 83-63 behind 18 points apiece from Brandon Rash and Barrett Meyer.

Ethan Spurlin had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) for the Pioneers, which improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Transy hit 16 of 32 three-point attempts, including 10 threes in the first half, but only led by five at the break, 39-34.

Tate Cox knocked down 4 of his 5 threes and finished with 12 points.
