Joker Phillips says freshman quarterback Patrick Towles is doubtful to play in Kentucky's game against Georgia Saturday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Freshman quarterback Patrick Towles is listed as doubtful for Kentucky's game Saturday against No. 12 Georgia. However, head coach Joker Phillips says Towles is progressing after suffering a high-ankle sprain against Mississippi State on Oct. 6.
Phillips said, "He's one that could now get up on his toes, and that's usually a good sign when you have a high-ankle sprain. So we'll take a look at it, probably about Wednesday, see what he can do. He moved around a little bit, not great today. But we'll take a look at it tomorrow and Wednesday, also."
