What a weekend for the UK softball team.

Up 4-2 in game one on Saturday night in the super regional against UCLA, then a grand slam changed everything.  A 6-4 loss when all was said and done.

But the Cats responded in a big way on Sunday, joining the ranks of a small 15 percent to have lost game one in the supers and then win both remaining games to advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

It's the program's first trip to the WCWS and head coach Rachel Lawson and company feel they're prepared and ready, playing their best ball of the season right now, headed into the first game in OKC on Thursday night at 7 ET against Louisiana-Lafayette on ESPN2.

Hear from coach Lawson in the video.
