You heard and read yesterday on ABC 36 News from UK softball coach Rachel Lawson that stud pitcher Kelsey Nunley is ready for the NCAA tournament after throwing roughly 400 pitches in three games during the SEC tournament last week.

The reason that's important for Kentucky is pitching will be key when the Cats take on Ohio at 7:30 Friday night at John Cropp Stadium to kick off their NCAA tourney play.

The sophomore right-hander will be expected to go the distance on the mound, but it's something Lawson feels the pitcher can handle.
