The football Cats are busily readying for the spring season.

Over the weekend, UK hosted some of the top juniors from both in and out of state at a well-received Junior Day.

And within a matter of months, the high-powered, high-octane offense of former Cat Neal Brown and his band of former Red Raider colleagues will take to the field for the annual Blue-White game.

Brown's staff includes former Kentucky players, like Chad Scott, who is in charge of the running backs now at UK.

Not to mention the rest of the Texas Tech braintrust from a season ago.

Like receivers coach Tommy Mainord for example.

And having that continuity makes for a smoother transition come installation time with the Cats.

Mainord's take in the video.
