Rick Pitino says Louisville fans don't experience as much guilt as Solid Blue fans if they give up one of their tickets to their rival.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Rick Pitino has seen the Kentucky - Louisville rivalry from both sides and believes the Solid Blue fans have a harder time contributing to allowing fans of their rival to get into their home arena.
Pitino said Solid Blue fans feel that if they sell their ticket to a Louisville fan, they'll go to hell. Louisville fans do not feel that way, according to Pitino, because there are a lot of "mixed" marriages in the Louisville area. Pitino called those unions between Louisville and Solid Blue fans hardship marriages.
