Bobby Petrino is 8-0 in collegiate season openers...and he's pretty good against the Cats too...4-1 all-time.

That includes a 1-0 record on August 31st when Petrino was with Louisville.  The Cats are 1-2 on that date all-time.

UK opened as a 5-point favorite today over the Hilltoppers in Saturday's game.

So there's a lot on the line this weekend in Nashville for both programs and both coaches, as they seek to start the season on a positive note.

The one thing Solid Blue fans can look to for comfort?  2008.  UK vs. Arkansas at Commonwealth Stadium.  Kentucky trailed 17-0 in the third quarter and managed to come back and hand Petrino his only loss to the Cats in history.

21-20 the final as Mike Hartline hooked up with Randall Cobb twice in the final four plus minutes to pull off the upset win.
