The football Cats hit the Commonwealth Stadium field for the annual Blue / White spring game on Saturday at 3:30.  Roughly 37,000 tickets have already been distributed for Saturday's big event.

And with construction underway at CWS, there's only 42,500 available seats.  So a good turnout is expected for year two under Mark Stoops.

What's not good for Solid Blue fans?  While the stands may be full, the sidelines could be thin...especially at receiver.

We mentioned last week Javess Blue and Alex Montgomery are gone for the spring.  Ryan Timmons, Jeff Badet and Thaddeus Snodgrass are all banged up according to Stoops today, but none out of practice.

There is a silver lining in that the "old" guys are bringing the new guys under their wings quickly.

More in the video from receivers coach Tommy Mainord.
