The Belmont Stakes is finally upon us.

California Chrome, in case you forgot, will try to become the first horse to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed pulled off the feat back in 1978.

If he does, it will be against more horses than any other Triple Crown winner.

The most horses beaten in a Triple Crown Belmont field is 7.  Chrome will likely have to beat more than ten with a potential field of 12 set right now for this Saturday.

So how is the Derby and Preakness winner doing and what's the plan for training this week?

Assistant trainer Alan Sherman on the lack of changing anything headed into the Belmont stretch, in the video.
