UK's Anthony Davis calls it karma that New Orleans won the first pick in the NBA Draft Lottery.
NEW YORK, NY - When asked about New Orleans getting the first pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Kentucky's Anthony Davis - the clear cut favorite to be selected number one - said it was karma since he won a national championship in the Crescent City last month.
The Hornets had the fourth-best odds of winning the draft lottery at 13.7 percent.
New Orleans head coach Monty Williams declined to say the organization would take Davis with the top pick, saying he'd have to go back and look at the tape.
The Charlotte Bobcats, after the worst season in NBA history, fell to the No. 2 pick. Washington will pick third and Cleveland fell one spot to fourth.
