This may or may not surprise you, but the NCAA baseball division one hits leader is a Morehead State Eagle.

Junior outfielder Brandon Rawe followed second year head coach Mike McGuire, who was previously at Morehead as the pitching coach in 1995 and 1996, from Louisburg College in North Carolina to MSU two seasons ago.

Rawe jacked three home runs on Sunday against Austin Peay in a 7-6 win.

Going three of four at the plate against the Governors, Rawe now has 85 hits on the year and is batting .417.

Overall, it was a very good weekend for Rawe and in his mind, an even better one for the team, as his effort helped the Eagles take care OVC rival AP.

Hear from Rawe in the video.
