Morehead State sophomore Emily Curry will be headed to the men's OVC basketball tournament in Nashville for free thanks to the efforts of the MSU Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

It's all part of the "Hoops for Heroes" campaign.

Curry served a combined 8 years in the National Guard and Echo Company, including time overseas in Iraq for 15 months.

The MSU sophomore plans to enroll in the radiology technician program in the fall.

Curry's five brothers and father all served in active duty military roles as well.

The Wyoming native joined the Idaho National Guard in 2002 before becoming an active duty soldier in 2006.

Hear from Emily Curry tomorrow on ABC 36 News @ 6.
