Lexington Catholic senior Patrick Keller is named Tommy Bell Award recipient, which honors Lexington's most outstanding high school student athlete.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lexington Catholic senior Patrick Keller received the 27th annual Tommy Bell Award presented by the Lexington Rotary Club during a ceremony at Fasig-Tipton on Thursday.
The Tommy Bell Award honors Lexington's most outstanding all-around high school student athlete.
Keller is 4.0 student; senior class president; National Merit finalist; National Honor Society, Beta club and Spanish club member. He's also in the top 5% of his class.
Keller has played varsity basketball for the Knights for four years and was a team co-captain this past season. He's won the team's academic award each of his four years.
Keller is also a pitcher on the baseball team, in his third year on the varsity squad.
Keller is a volunteer coordinator for the Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League.
Keller will attend Denison University in Granville, Ohio next fall and intends to major in biology as well as play basketball.
