New Orleans Hornets head coach on UK's Anthony Davis, plus former Cats Marquis Teague and Doron Lamb, all from the NBA draft combine.
CHICAGO - Even though the New Orleans Hornets won't officially say they're taking Anthony Davis with the number one overall pick in the NBA draft, Hornets head coach Monty Williams talked as if Davis will be that choice.
Williams spoke with ESPN's Andy Katz at the NBA draft combine in Chicago on Thursday.
He told Katz that he was impressed with Davis and that Davis is more advanced offensively than he'd previously thought. Williams also said that Davis plays defense like he's already been the league for a couple seasons.
Katz also talked to Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague.
The former UK point guard said he's hearing he could go between the 15th and 20th picks in the NBA draft.
Lamb said he felt his performance in the NCAA tournament has helped improve his draft stock.
