Former Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie has entered into treatment at the Mayo Clinic.
LUBBOCK, TX - Current Texas Tech and former Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie flew on a private plane Tuesday to Minnesota, where has entered the Mayo Clinic to undergo treatment for stress and high blood pressure, amongst other things, according to reports from ESPN
and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal
That newspaper also reports that Gillispie said via text message Tuesday night that he was in the "testing stage" at the clinic and wasn't sure how long his stay would be.
Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt has instructed Gillispie not to have any contact with the Red Raiders program while he is on indefinite sick leave, according to multiple reports.
Hocutt has said that he will not make a decision on Gillispie's future until the coach is healthy enough to meet face to face with Hocutt to discuss the recent allegations against Gillispie of player mistreatment.
