Garrard County High School named it's new head football coach today.
Former Golden Lions head man Jerry Perry is back in Lancaster.
Perry led the Lions from 1990-96 compiling a 65-18 overall record. It all started with an 8-2 campaign in his first year followed up by an 8-3 mark, then a 12-1 campaign, good for the most wins in program history until Mark Scenters took the Golden Lions to a 12-2 season back in 2011.
Perry has also spent time at Danville under legendary coach Sam Harp. He was most recently at Boyle County as an assistant coach after not getting the head job after Harp's departure.
So he's never been far from "home," a place and opportunity he's glad to be and have back.
Hear from Perry in the video.
