Former Cat Meyer Returns To Face Legends

Former Kentucky Wildcat and Washington Nationals first-round pick Alex Meyer will start on the mound against the Legends in Lexington Friday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Former Kentucky Wildcat pitcher Alex Meyer is back in Lexington as a member of the Hagerstown Suns. The Washington Nationals 2011 first-round draft pick is the scheduled starting pitcher for Friday's game against the Lexington Legends at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM.

Meyer led the SEC with 110 strike outs last season as a junior with the Wildcats. 

Meyer will face the Legends two-time South Atlantic League pitcher of the week this season, Nick Tropeano.
