LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky football head coach Joker Phillips announced on Thursday that sophomore safety Glenn Faulkner will miss 6-8 weeks due to an ankle injury, and running back Josh Clemons has been slowed by swelling in his knee.

X-rays revealed that Faulkner had separation in his ankle and had surgery to insert a screw on Thursday.

Clemons had an MRI on Tuesday to attempt to pinpoint why he's experienced so much swelling in the knee that he had surgery on last year.

Phillips said that the MRI showed that there are no problems with what was surgically repaired, but the mystery remains on the excessive swelling.

Phillips said that it's too early to consider a redshirt for Clemons.
