Kentucky Derby winner I'll Have Another has already arrived at Pimlico Race Course in preparation for the Preakness Stakes.

BALTIMORE, Md. - Kentucky Derby winner I'll Have Another shipped out from Churchill Downs on Monday afternoon and has arrived in Baltimore in preparation for the Preakness Stakes in two weeks.

I'll Have Another received a police escort from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to Pimlico Race Course.

This is the earliest a Derby winner has made the trek to Maryland since 2001 when Monarchos arrived for the Preakness just four days after winning the Run for the Roses.

Trainer Doug O'Neill opted to stable I'll Have Another in Barn D - adjacent to the Preakness Stakes barn - with five other horses that he conditions rather than have his champion in the traditional Pimlico home of the Derby winner - Stall 40.

O'Neill was still in disbelief Sunday morning when he met with reporters at Churchill Downs.
