Kentucky coach John Calipari says Anthony Davis doesn't let the rough play of opponents like LSU bother him.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Anthony Davis was kneed in the back of the head, horse-collar tackled, tripped and smacked across the face against LSU on Saturday. Instead of complaining or showing signs of frustration or giving up or resorting to a fist fight - Davis responded with dunks and rebounds, steals and blocked shots.
Davis had 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals against LSU despite repeated efforts by the Tigers to rattle UK's big man. John Calipari says that's just Davis. He takes a beating and gets back up every time with a smile or a simple shake of his head.
