Former Kentucky Wildcat Champ Kelly, who's now the assistant director of pro personnel for the Broncos, talks about Denver's sixth round pick, former Cat Danny Trevathan.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Former Kentucky Wildcat Anthony "Champ" Kelly, who's now the director of pro personnel for the Denver Broncos, has good things to say about fellow former Wildcat Danny Trevathan, who was Denver's sixth-round draft pick in April.
Kelly is back in Lexington holding C.H.A.M.P. Camp at Bryan Station High School.
The football camp focuses not only on fundamentals but also life skills and includes guest speakers like former Cat Randall Cobb of the Green Bay Packers.
Trevathan had been practicing with the Broncos first-team defense in recent organized team activities.
Kelly calls Trevathan a tackling machine and is excited about his potential.
Denver's roster includes several former Kentucky players in addition to Trevathan - Jeremy Jarmon, Jacob Tamme and Wesley Woodyard.
